The Washington Hatchet Volleyball team was put on lockdown last night during their match at Heritage Hills.

The lockdown came about as an abundance of caution from State Police and Spencer County Authorities.

Police were looking for two to four fugitives in the Lincoln City/Dale area who were believed to be armed and dangerous. Police tried to stop them on US 231, but for unknow reasons they fled the scene.

The Hatchet Volleyball players were eventually allowed to board the bus and head home.

As of Friday morning, police were still searching for the fugitives.
