Two teams struggling to find their feet in the early going to the 2021 English Premier League season are looking for their first win of the season, as Newcastle United prepares to host the new faces on the block, Leeds United, on Friday night.
Newcastle is one of five teams yet to earn three points in the opening month of the 2021-22 season. They have only mustered up one point thus far, which was a draw against Southhamption three weeks ago. They are tied with Burnley, as each have only one point this season, with a 0-3-1 record. Last week, Newcastle was victim to the return of Cristiano Ronaldo in Manchester, falling by a lopsided 4-1 score.

Leeds is also looking to find their footing, especially since they had an admirable 18-15-8 season in their return to the top division last season. Unlike Newcastle, they have picked up two points in their first four matches. After getting hammered by Manchester United in their season opener, they earned points in draws against Everton and Burnley, before falling 3-0 last Sunday to Liverpool.
The two clubs met twice in the 2020-21 season, with Newcastle winning both matches.
