About last night: Washington Football Team 30, New York Giants 29 — Unheralded and undrafted Taylor Heinicke out-dueled 2019 first-rounder Daniel Jones in a wild game that featured five lead changes, including three in the fourth quarter.
Game of the week: Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens — The Chiefs are coming off a huge statement win. The Ravens need to bounce back from a wild defeat in Las Vegas, and do so on a short week against Patrick Mahomes and Co.
Sneaky-Good Game of the Week: San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles — Among the most shocking developments of Week 1 was the Eagles' destruction of the Falcons, a victory highlighted by Jalen Hurts' performance. The 49ers, meanwhile, had a painful Week 1 win in Detroit, losing both RB Raheem Mostert and CB Jason Verrett to season-ending injuries.
Survivor Pool Game of the Week: Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers — A week after making the Philadelphia Eagles look like bona fide title contenders, the Falcons must face the defending Super Bowl champions. The Bucs are an easy pick this week. Full disclosure: Last week's pick was the Rams ✅.
