The Peace Center Presents Grammy Award-winner Sarah Jarosz on Sept. 20th

Celebrate live music on the river this Monday, Sept. 20, with Grammy Award-winning artist Sarah Jarosz. The performance will take place at the TD Stage at the Peace Center at 7:30 pm.

With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation.

A four-time Grammy Award-winner at the age of 29, the Texas-native started singing as a young girl and became an accomplished multi-instrumentalist by her early teens. As a solo artist, she’s released six critically acclaimed albums including Undercurrent, which she won two Grammy’s for, and World On the Ground, a collaborative effort with producer/songwriter John Leventhal. In each, Jarosz’s remarkable gift for slipping into the inner lives of others and patiently uncovering simple delights is on full display.

Her most recent album Blue Heron Suite, a much-anticipated song cycle which she composed after being the recipient of the FreshGrass Composition Commission, was released this May and chronicles her childhood trips to the Texas coast with her family.

In addition to her solo career, Jarosz is one-third of the Americana supergroup I’m With Her. Together, they’ve released two albums and received two Grammy nominations for Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots song, winning the latter.
