With the deadline passing to register in the city-school elections on November 2nd, one race for a city position will be contested.
The Adel Mayor position is up for reelection this year and current mayor Jim Peters is running and has an opponent in John Sparling. Also, for the Adel City Council Robert Christensen and Jodi Selby are running for reelection.
For Perry current mayor John Andorff is running for reelection unopposed and Brenda Espinoza is running for ward 2 on the Perry City Council after Dr. Randy McCaulley announced at a Council meeting that he would not be running for reelection and Vicki Klein is running for reelection.
For the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board Bart Banwart, Shanlyn Doll, Ross Freeman, Kale Smith and Melissa Dohlman are running for the Board. For the Perry School Board those running includes Kyle Baxter, Eddie Diaz and Travis Landgrebe.
