ROMP 2021 is underway at Yellow Creek Park here in Owensboro and I have to say, it's so good to be back.  Yesterday afternoon, I got to head to the annual (and incredibly popular) bluegrass music festival to broadcast live and it was great to roll into the park, hear the incredible sounds of the some of the best bluegrass bands in the world, see a bunch of friends, meet folks from out of town and, of course, walk over to the huge food truck area.  There's no doubt, the food at ROMP is just as popular as the music and a tasty staple of the festival and its atmosphere.

The Food Trucks at ROMP 2021

ROMP is back at Yellow Creek Park in Daviess County, KY. The four-day music festival promises four fun-filled days of bluegrass music, camping, and incredible food trucks. Here's a look at who's serving it up this year.

As you likely know, ROMP was canceled last year because of COVID-19.  The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum was committed to bringing the festival back safely this year and ultimately moved the concert from June to September.  Because of the ongoing pandemic, ROMP is requiring all festival-goers to be COVID-19 vaccinated or you can show proof of a negative COVID test.  If you don't have the opportunity to test in advance of your arrival, ROMP has partnered with Owensboro Family Pharmacy and Wellness to offer rapid testing at the gate.

And, of course, like we do every year, we have your OFFICIAL ROMP SURVIVAL GUIDE here at WBKR. It's full of fun info and tips to get you prepared to be a "Romper"!

There are still single-day tickets available.  You can purchase them in advance at RompFest.com or you can purchase them at the gate.

KENTUCKY FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Food Trucks have become somewhat of a big deal over the past five years. If you promise people food trucks you'll get a crowd. People love to eat and someone has to feed them. Kentucky has some of the most delicious and amazing food trucks around.
