Crews battling two wildfires in the Nebraska Panhandle

A fast-moving fire south of Crawford, Neb. has prompted the Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands to ask residents to evacuate. According to a Facebook post, the Dawes County Sheriff's Office is going door-to-door with directions.

A fast-moving fire south of Crawford, Neb. has prompted the Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands to ask residents to evacuate. According to a Facebook post, the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office is going door-to-door with directions.

Local officials say the fire has grown to 600 acres. A single-engine air tanker is providing air support while an incident management team as been ordered.

The Nebraska State Patrol also released pictures of a fire burning in the Scottsbluff and Gering area. No further updates have been provided at this time.
