Colin Patrick's first-half goal helps 'Gansett blank Scituate

Colin Patrick struck late in the first half with the winning goal as Narragansett shut out Scituate, 3-0. Patrick found the net in the 39th minute to give the Mariners the lead for good. Scott Reilly and Brian Rocchio added insurance inside the final 11 minutes as Narragansett wrapped things up.

BOYS SOCCER

Dylan Robins scored a hat trick and teammate Jian Lastor collected five assists in Johnston's 6-1 win over Woonsocket in Division III. The Panthers improve to 1-1.

Thomas Corcoran and Jayden Champagne did all the scoring for Lincoln with two goals apiece in the Lions improved to 4-0 in Division II with a 4-0 win over Westerly.

GIRLS SOCCER

Sasha Vivanco netted 2 goals and goaltender Ariana Xavier turned in a solid performance, stopping 12 of the 13 shots she faced as Central Falls defeated Davies, 5-1, in Division IV. Carolina Velasquez, Torres Migdalia and Sofia Santos also scored goals for the Warriors. Victoria De la Cruz had the lone goal for the Patriots.  

Riley Matarese netted a hat trick as Chariho raced past Cranston East, 9-1, in Division II. 

Joviana Goldstein scored a goal and added a helper and Hannah Rezendes added another score as Mt. Hope blanked Barrington, 2-0, in Division I play. Huskies goaltender Logan Levesque earned the shutout with five saves.

Jordyn Brogan racked up a hat trick in the second half, making it a four-goal night in East Providence's 7-1 victory over Bay View in Division II. Brogan scored once in the opening 40 minutes as the Townies built a 2-1 lead and exploded late while the winners pulled away. Olivia Williams added a pair of goals and three assists for East Providence. Simone Miranda converted a penalty kick for the Bengals only tally.  

Ava Moson's tally in the 33rd minute turned out to be the lone goal of the game as Middletown escaped with a 1-0 win over West Warwick. Despite the loss, Wizards goaltender Tori Bird put on a solid job in net, stopping 14 of the 15 shots she saw. 

FIELD HOCKEY

Elise Flanagan found the net twice in the opening half as Tiverton held off Pilgrim, 3-1, in Division II. Cassie Taber chipped in a goal and an assist for the Tigers. Ainsley Canning evened the game at 1-1 for the Patriots with her early goal. 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL 

Nayeska Contreras racked up 10 kills at Mount Pleasant eased past Davies, 3-0. The Kilties rolled by scores of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-21. Toluwani Akomolafe paced the Patriots with five kills.

Molly Richardson recorded 7 aces, 8 kills and 3 assists as Tiverton rolled to a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-12, 25-18) over Paul Cuffee. 

◘Exeter/West Greenwich jumped ahead by winning the first two sets and clinched the match in the fourth, posting a 3-1 triumph over Chariho. Avery LeBlanc (14 kills, nine aces, five blocks) led the Scarlet Knights to a 25-19, 25-22, 19-25, 25-22 victory. Jenna Lorring (18 kills) and Lexi Cole (26 assists) paced the Chargers.

GIRLS TENNIS

◘Smithfield swept all four singles points to slip past North Kingstown, 4-3. Erica Botelho finished strong in a 6-3, 5-7, 6-0 win at No. 1 to help power the Sentinels. The Skippers dropped just six games in three doubles matches, including a pair of 6-1, 6-0 wins from Kate Maloney-Maddie Hughes at No. 1 and Bonnie O'Flaherty-Evalyn Carroll at No. 3.
