55 Bar Benefit: 55 Bar Benefit
In case you missed our September 16th newsletter, I posted it in its entirety below. Also, if you plan to attend any of the 55 Bar benefit shows, now is a good time to use All About Jazz's personal calendar feature. Just click the ADD EVENT button in the Save the Date section on a Jazz Near You event detail page. When you do, the selected event will appear on your Personal Calendar page. AAJ will also send you a reminder (to attend) the day of the show.

55 Bar; Jon Hendricks Top Ten; Live From Detroit!; Jazz Musician Webinar; New Jazz Fiction; Remembering George; and the new All About Jazz YouTube Channel

Sometimes our newsletters are loaded with content while at other times we use the space to announce new endeavors or something industry specific. Today is a mix of both.

AAJ... in the news! All About Jazz partnered with Sweatshop Studios to create a new YouTube channel and high definition video content (read all about it then watch the video). Please subscribe to our YouTube channel so you can receive instant updates when one of our new videos goes public.

Attention jazz musicians! All About Jazz & Bandzoogle are presenting a free webinar to help musicians build a better website. Join us on September 29th at 1pm EST and learn how you can maximize the overall effectiveness of your website. Learn more and register.

Mark your calendar! New York's 55 Bar is presenting an 11-day benefit running from September 23rd to October 2nd. Read about it here then check out the schedule here. It's a loaded lineup.

Choice content... Jon Hendricks: An Essential Top Ten Albums (read); Four Days at the Detroit Jazz Festival (read); Jazz Fiction: Fly Me To The Moon (read).

Remembering George Wein. The jazz impresario passed this week and we pay tribute to him with six interviews spanning 2000-2018. Read George Wein: Dinosaur Walks the Earth then scroll to the comments section for links to five more interviews.
