Netflix Casts Giancarlo Esposito, Rufus Sewell, Paz Vega, More for Jigsaw Series

Netflix has announced the cast for its upcoming thriller series, Jigsaw. According to Variety, Jigsaw will follow a nonlinear storytelling structure.

Jigsaw stars The Mandalorian’s Giancarlo Esposito, Rambo: Last Blood’s Paz Vega, Uncharted’s Tati Gabrielle, My Immigrant Family’s Niousha Noor, Top Gun: Maverick’s Peter Mark Kendall, The Suicide Squad’s Jai Courtney, Ramy’s Rosaline Elbay, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rufus Sewell. The thriller series is created by Eric Garcia. Jigsaw spans over 24 years and focuses on the largest heist ever attempted along with the loyalties, betrayals, scheming, and vengeance that come with it. The plot is somewhat inspired by a real story where $70 billion in bonds went missing during Hurricane Sandy in downtown Manhattan.

Jigsaw will have eight episodes and its nonlinear timeline will range from 24 years before the heist to one year after the heist. Garcia will also be the showrunner and executive producer on the series. Along with Garcia, Ridley Scott, Jordan Sheehan, David W. Zucker, Brian Kavanagh-Jones, Fred Berger, Russell Fine, and Justin Levy will serve as executive producers. Jose Padilha will direct the first two episodes of Jigsaw.

Netflix has recently announced its virtual global fan event, Tudum. The event will feature several talented actors and creators including Henry Cavill, Millie Bobby Brown, Zack Snyder, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Aniston, and others as well as news and first looks from Netflix movies and TV shows such as The Witcher, Money Heist, Stranger Things, Red Notice, The Umbrella Academy, and more.
