European Giant To Enter Race To Sign Paul Pogba As Mino Raiola Already Holds 'Talks' Over Potential Transfer

Mino Raiola is anticipating an 'auction' for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba amid interest from Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus.

Barcelona are ready to challenge fierce rivals Real Madrid in the race to sign Manchester United star Paul Pogba, according to reports in Spain.

Pogba has been linked with a potential move away from Old Trafford, with his current United deal expiring in 2022.

The 28-year-old French midfielder has been heavily linked with a stunning return to Juventus, as well as attracting interest from Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Fichajes now reports that Pogba’s super-agent, Mino Raiola, has held 'talks' with Barcelona president Joan Laporta over a potential transfer next summer.

Raiola, whose previous comments on Pogba’s United future have resulted in backlash, reportedly expects that there will be an ‘auction’ from European clubs in a bid to land his client.

Barcelona could hit a stumbling block over matching (or bettering) Pogba’s current £290,000-a-week United deal amid the club’s financial struggles.

Both PSG and Madrid are believed to have the financial power to meet the Frenchman’s demands should he quit Old Trafford next summer.

Pogba remains a crucial part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans at United and the Red Devils are keen to tie him down to a new deal.

The France international has made five appearances for United this season and registered an impressive seven assists already.

Speaking ahead of United’s shock 2-1 defeat to Young Boys in the Champions League, Solskjaer was asked about Pogba amid uncertainty around his future.

The Red Devils manager insisted that players who sign for the Premier League club want to “win trophies” and “be a part of a winning Manchester United.”

When asked about Pogba, Solskjaer said: “Yeah, well, it’s up to us now to get results and to prove to ourselves that we can win trophies.

“I think everyone who signs for Manchester United wants to win trophies, wants to be a part of a winning Manchester United. That’s the most magical feeling in the world to be part of a winning Man United team.

“I think everyone’s just focusing on doing their best and let’s see where we go.”
