Four new COVID deaths, 183 new virus cases reported in Kanawha

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) —
Coronavirus continues to surge in Kanawha County, with four additional deaths and 183 new virus cases identified.

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department confirmed the deaths of a 23-year-old woman who was unvaccinated, a 61-year-old woman who was unvaccinated, a 65-year-old woman who was unvaccinated and a 65-year-old woman who was vaccinated.
Kanawha County’s death total from the pandemic is at 367.
Active cases have risen to 2,233, up 183. Recoveries remained at 17,918.

There has now been a total of 20,518 virus cases during the pandemic, up 183. Of those, 16,972 are confirmed and 3,546 are probable.
