Raiders stop Eagles in NACC match

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team dropped their NACC opener with MSOE on Wednesday night at Viets Field. The Raiders scored once in the first half and again in the final minutes of action for a 2-0 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (0-5-1, 0-1 NACC) struggled to get much going offensively Wednesday, finishing the match with just three shots, all on goal. The Eagles defense was busy, only allowing two goals from the Raiders action packed offense.

- Mackenzie Jones totaled 14 saves for the Eagles, holding the Raiders within just one goal until the 81st minute. Nine of her saves came in the second half.

- Jill Ruark scored in the 23rd minute for the only goal of the first half. Grace Quinn added the second MSOE (4-2, 1-0 NACC) goal with just nine minutes remaining in the second half.

- The Eagles were outshot 30-3 on the evening, with 16 of the Raiders shots on target. Quinn took 12 shots with six on goal for the Raiders. Grace Wildeboer, Kristen Palmer, and Sydney Felder each took a shot for the Eagles, all on goal.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will head to Concordia Chicago on Saturday, still in search of their first win of the season. Action from Concordia Stadium in River Forest, Ill. is set for 12:00 p.m.
