Lady Topper tennis action will begin again on Sept. 17-18 at the UC/Pam Whitehead Invitational hosted by the Cincinnati Bearcats at Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

WKU will face off against Cincinnati, Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green’s rosters. The Lady Toppers are 2-1 all-time against the Bearcats in dual match competition with the last meeting between the two resulting in a 4-3 victory for the red and white.

WKU is 0-3 all-time against Miami (Ohio). The Lady Toppers and the Bowling Green Falcons have never played head-to-head in spring competition.

This will be the first of three fall tournaments for WKU over the next month. The Lady Toppers were only able to compete in a single invitational last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I wanted a challenge from the fall schedule, I really wanted to go up against some good teams,” head coach Greg Davis shared in an interview over the summer. “And all three of these tournaments are new ones that we have never played before.”

WKU will play in the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis from Oct. 1-3 and the Samford Invitational in Birmingham from Oct. 8-10 to round out its schedule.
