Prince William went back to business after a well-deserved summer vacation. In honor of 999 Day (also known as Emergency Services Day) last Thursday, the Duke of Cambridge paid a visit to South London to see first responders and NHS workers, as well as members of the community who have been helped by them.
- After winning the women’s championship at the U.S. Open, Emma Raducanu received congratulations from a member of the royal family for the second time this week: Kate Middleton. During Saturday's final, the British athlete beat Canada’s Leylah Annie Fernandez. Not long after the match, the Duchess of Cambridge shared a personal message on her and Prince William’s shared social media account. Shortly after, Queen Elizabeth shared a similar note.

- Princess Anne and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, recently banded together to attend the Westmorland County Show. A slideshow of the event was shared to Instagram with a caption that said, “The Princess Royal and The Countess of Wessex visited the Westmorland County Show together this afternoon. The Show has been running for 222 years.”
- In honor of September 11, Queen Elizabeth II turned to Instagram to send a personal letter to President Biden and the rest of the U.S. (which she signed once again with “Elizabeth R”). The note was shared to the royal family Instagram account. Along with the message, the queen included an image from her visit to the World Trade Center back in 2010. She said, “My visit to the site of the World Trade Center in 2010 is held fast in my memory.”
