Washington Football Team defensive end Chase Young was penalized for roughing the passer against Daniel Jones in the lamest way possible.

Another week in the NFL, another questionable roughing the passer call to dissect.

This time it was Chase Young of the Washington Football Team who got flagged for 15 yards after hitting Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.

The hit wasn’t late, but Young was penalized for supposedly driving the quarterback into the grass.

Young certainly landed on top of Jones, which is why the referees had the right to throw the flag by the letter of the law. However, it’s not clear what he’s expected to do. He can’t exactly stop his own downward momentum.

This is the kind of call that frustrates football fans. New York was about to face a third-and-12. Instead, they got first and goal from the eight-yard line and scored a touchdown two plays later.

Next. WFT fans got covered in sewage. dark
