Oak Ridge HomeGoods to open Sept. 23

Oak Ridge's HomeGoods will have a grand opening on Thursday, Sept. 23. 

The grand opening will be from 8 to 10 a.m. The store is located in Main Street Oak Ridge.

HomeGoods' official website announced the grand opening, along with a description of the store in general.

"At HomeGoods Oak Ridge, TN you’ll discover, high-quality, handcrafted merchandise for every style and every room all at significant savings. You’ll find an ever changing selection of home décor and fashions from around the world. Get inspiration for your kitchen and dining furniture, bed and bathroom and even pieces to complete space for your kids and pets. We have the final touches for when you are about to entertain guests and plenty of items when it is time to organize and clean. Plus, new styles arrive all the time so you never know what you'll find," the official website states.

Once it opens, store hours will be Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The store is currently hiring.

Old Navy, HomeGoods and Ross Dress for Less are all stores that closed off a former roundabout entrance to the Main Street Oak Ridge shopping center.

COVID-19

The company website also includes information on the Homegoods' COVID-19 precautions at its stores in general.

"Masks remain mandatory for associates in most locations for the time being, and we will be making both masks and gloves available for all associates," the website stated. However, there is no requirement of masks for customers, just a recommendation for people who are not vaccinated to cover their faces.

"Where applicable, we ask individuals to follow any state or local mandates that require face coverings," the website statew. It stated there will be "signage in U.S. stores with recent CDC guidance which recommends that all unvaccinated individuals wear face coverings indoors, and that vaccinated individuals wear face coverings in areas with substantial or high transmission of COVID-19."

HomeGoods is encouraging social distancing in stores and our other buildings. It states customers should leave six feet between themselves and others while shopping and in the check-out lines.

There will also be protective shields at cash registers and "enhanced cleaning" of stores.
