Film opens in theaters and premium VOD Oct 29th

Trace Adkins stars in a new tornado thriller, 13 Minutes, which opens in theaters and on premium VOD on October 29th. The film follows four families in a Heartland town as they are tested in a single day when a tornado hits, forcing paths to cross and redefining the meaning of survival.

The day starts out as usual for residents in the small town of Minninnewah. It’s springtime and big storms are just part of life. Nothing to get worked up about… until they are. Inhabitants will have just 13 minutes to get to shelter before the largest tornado on record ravages the town, leaving the inhabitants searching for their loved ones and fighting for their lives. In the wake of total devastation, four families must overcome their differences and find strength in themselves and each other in order to survive.

Understanding the storm’s effect on communities is what drove first time feature director Lindsay Gosling and certified storm chaser Travis Farncombe to write the story. The threat in this film comes from the sky but the story is grounded in the real world. Every creative element has been designed to drop the viewer directly into a time and place that feels authentic so that they can live the experience of the world imploding with the characters.

The all-star cast also includes Golden Globe and Emmy nominated actress Thora Birch (The Walking Dead, American Beauty), Amy Smart (Road Trip, Varsity Blues, Just Friends), Peter Facinelli (The Vanished, Nurse Jackie, Can’t Hardly Wait), Emmy-award winning actress Anne Heche (Chicago P.D., Volcano, Six Days Seven Nights), Paz Vega (The OA Part I and Part II, Spanglish, Rambo: Last Blood), Will Peltz (Unfriended, Manifest) and Sofia Vassilieva (The Little Things, My Sister’s Keeper, Looking For Alaska).

The film also features a breakout performance from Shaylee Mansfield (Netflix’s Feel the Beat, Noelle) an incredibly talented young deaf actress and YouTuber who initially caught the world’s attention when several of her videos went viral garnering millions of hits. She appeared in ASL Nook for over 50 episodes inspiring families and children worldwide to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
