MISSOULA, Mont. —
Officials at Yellowstone National Park say a 19-year-old woman sustained significant second- and third-degree burns to 5% of her body at Old Faithful geyser on Thursday.

They say the woman was a concessions employee from Rhode Island. She was taken by ambulance to West Yellowstone and then life-flighted to the Burn Center at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
The incident is currently under investigation. The condition of the woman is unknown at this time.

Park officials are reminding people of the danger of thermal features, and asking visitors to use caution.
