The West Virginia Mountaineers are going with their inverted home uniforms, wearing gold and gold with blue pants instead of their traditional blue-blue-gold. This is the fourth time they have worn this combination. They first debuted it in 2016 against the Kansas State Wildcats, then pulled it out again when they took on the NC State Wolfpack. Last year, they wore it against the Kansas State Wildcats for the second time. This combination seems to be a favorite for Neal Brown as he has worn it three straight years.

This writer is a bit disappointed as I always pull for the banana suits when we have a gold rush. Y’all know I’m a huge fan of the triple G’s and I wanted them again this year.

I was even trying to (jokingly) get the field painted gold. Might as well blind the Hokies with everything we’ve got.

We won’t get the banana suits for the Gold Rush, but I’ll continue to hold out hope we’ll seem them again. In the meantime, the Mountaineers are 3-0 in the Inverted Homes and will look to make it four-straight against the Hokies
