NECAC warns deadline looms for utility assistance

HANNIBAL, Mo. (KHQA) —
Time is running out to for people to apply for a utility assistance program through North East Community Action Corporation , NECAC, in 12 Missouri counties.

Counties covered in our area include Lewis, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Shelby and Warren.
The Energy Crisis Intervention Program can help pay the bills of people who’ve received a utility shut-off notice.
The NECAC is taking applications. The agency still has more than $1 million in funding available.
