Dillon Francis & Shift K3Y’s ‘Love Me Better’ Hits No. 1 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart

Dillon Francis and Shift K3Y lift to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated Sept. 18) with “Love Me Better,” featuring Marc E Bassy. It’s the first No. 1 on the list for all three acts.

“Love” is locking in core-dance airplay at multiple outlets, including on leaders KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel and SiriusXM’s BPM, according to MRC Data. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)

“I’ve been trying to keep the channel as upbeat as possible and this song fit perfectly for what I was looking for,” Steve Pereira, senior programmer, dance/EDM and Latin at MusicChoice, tells Billboard. “Dillon, Shift and Marc knocked it out of the park with this one. The tempo was exactly what I was looking for.”

“Better” is Francis’ eighth chart hit, dating to the introductory “Without You,” featuring Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (No. 19, 2013). Two others went top 10: “When We Were Young,” with Sultan and Ned Shepard and featuring The Chain Gang of 1974 (No. 6, 2015), and “Anywhere,” featuring Will Heard (No. 7, 2016).

Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, DubVision and ANML KNGDM reach the top 10 for the first time with “I Wanna Be There” (11-4). The track benefits from new airplay at both iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio and Evolution Network.

Plus, Icona Pop picks up its third Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10 and VIZE earns its first with “Off of My Mind” (14-6) and Shane Codd collects his second top 10 with “Always on My Mind,” featuring Charlotte Haining, who hails earns her first (16-8).
