The Ohio State University has issued a Neighborhood Safety Notice after one person was killed in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the University District.

Columbus Police said the shooting happened around 3:11 p.m. Thursday in the 1990 block of North 4th Street.

The victim, 24-year-old Quinten Fuller, was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in critical condition and died as a result of their injuries a short time later.

Police say the suspect is 26-year-old Kaliaf Ivory. This is the 150th homicide in Columbus this year.

Ohio State said Fuller is not an Ohio State student, faculty, or staff member. The university is encouraging everyone to like their windows and doors, and when possible, walk with friends or coworkers and always be aware of their surroundings.
