The powerful, critically acclaimed series I May Destroy You is going to make a big impact at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, and many Netflix subscribers are curious to know if they can see it before the big night.

Michaela Coel, who is known for the series Chewing Gum and her stint on Black Mirror, delivers a superb performance from an incredibly enthralling script, which she also wrote. Coel also serves as director of I May Destroy You, along with Sam Miller.

The series follows Coel’s character Arabella, an influencer turned novelist, who struggles to remember the events that took place on a night she went out with friends. With the help of her friends Kwame, played by Paapa Essiedu, and Terry, played by Weruche Opia, she is able to slowly put the pieces back together and figure out what really happened.

The show is Certified Fesh on Rotten Tomatoes and has won awards at the BAFTAs, Independent Spirit Awards, Gotham Awards, Peabody Awards and NAACP Image Awards. In addition, I May Destroy You has received nine Primetime Emmy nominations, including the highly coveted Outstanding Limited Series category.

Is I May Destroy You available on Netflix?

The intriguing premise and boatload of accolades only heighten one’s anticipation to see such a remarkable endeavor. But unfortunately, those who subscribe to Netflix will not be able to witness such glory as I May Destroy You is not available on the streaming service.

Netflix has several great drama series that subscribers will not want to miss. Some of these engrossing programs include Unbelievable, Godless and Collateral.

Suppose it’s other award-caliber shows people are interested in. In that case, the streaming powerhouse has plenty of those titles on the roster.
