FLINT, MI -- Flint and surrounding communities are invited to support small businesses by attending the upcoming “Food Truck Friday” event.
The event is set to take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 on Brush Street in downtown Flint in front of the “FLINT” sign.
The confirmed food trucks for the lunch portion includes Just Fries, Something’s Different and Gordo and Flaco tacos and dinner includes Bella’s Concessions & Catering, Hot Dog Heaven and Yum Vittles.
“This is a great opportunity to highlight a unique small business industry in downtown Flint during a weekend that will be full of activities,” Mayor Sheldon Neeley said. “It is important that we support our local entrepreneurs and continue to build economic development in Flint.”
The Department of Economic Development planned this event in collaboration with the Flint Downtown Development Authority as a way to engage, support, and promote local businesses in the city as part of the “Enjoy. Shop. Love. FLINT – Support small businesses” initiative.
