RICHLAND -- Kadlec has released new data that shows the overwhelming number of patients being treated for COVID at the hospital have not been fully vaccinated for coronavirus.

According to Kadlec, there are 83 patients in the hospital right now with severe symptoms of COVID-19. Of those 83, 72 are not fully vaccinated. That equals 87% of all the patients. Only 11 patients are fully vaccinated.

Kadlec officials also say that there are currently 17 patients in critical care at the hospital. 100% of them are not fully vaccinated.

In a statement from the hospital, Kadlec says, "The vaccines are safe and effective. We urge everyone eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine."
