Moses Lake Girl Orphaned After Parents Die of COVID-19, GoFundMe Set Up

A Moses Lake girl is now living with her Aunt and Uncle in California after both her parents passed away from COVID-19 recently.

According to a GoFundMe page for 8-year-old Lillie Burko, the family of three all came down with COVID-19 in mid-August. Lillie's mother Josie Burko died August 28th, and her husband Tom was rushed to the hospital the same morning as his wife's passing. Tom Burko died September 8th after 11 days in the hospital.

Our newspartner iFIBER ONE is reporting Lillie Burko quarantined for two weeks with minor symptoms and recovered. Her parents were not vaccinated, but according to a family friend were "100% pro-vaccination."

The family may have contracted COVID after attending the Grant County Fair.
