A retirement home and independent living center has pushed back a fall celebration and fundraiser until next year due to health concerns.

The Middletown Home, a nonprofit group in Dauphin County, sent out a press release postponing their Pumpkin Fest until September of 2022. The press release cited the high rate of Dauphin County’s COVID-19 transmission.

“The health and safety of our residents, staff, family, friends, and the community always is and always will be my number one priority,” said Lou Vogel, CEO of The Middletown Home.

One event that will still happen this year through The Middletown Home is a raffle with a drawing held for a 2022 Subaru Outback on New Year’s Eve. More information can be found at The Middletown Home website.
