The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning is expected to be in attendance when Alabama faces Ole Miss in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Oct. 2.

Quarterback Arch Manning is the No. 1 rated overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. He told that website this week that he will visit Georgia-South Carolina this Saturday before his trip two weeks later to Tuscaloosa.

Manning is beginning his junior season of high school at Isidore Newman in New Orleans. He told 247 Sports that his college decision will not come until next spring or summer.

Alabama is among six schools that 247 Sports lists as Manning having “warm” interest in attending. Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Texas and Ole Miss are also on that list, with the Rebels being the alma mater of Arch’s uncle Eli and grandfather Archie.

Arch Manning previously made a visit to Alabama in June after the NCAA re-opened in-person recruiting.

“It’s just a machine,” Manning told 247 Sports this week of the trip. “Saban he runs a great program and there’s really no loopholes in that, no cutting corners which was amazing.

“I went to go see Bryce (Young) in a player run practice and it was cool because there was no coaches on the field and how organized and tight it was with just the players. They get after it and it’s organized and it was cool to watch.

“I’d love to be in a program like that, that organized with Coach Saban, that would be a dream come true.”

Alabama’s current five-star quarterback Bryce Young is a sophomore, meaning he will not be eligible for the NFL draft until after the 2022 season. The Tide also has a commitment from class of 2022 quarterback Ty Simpson, who is currently rated with four stars in 247 Sports’ composite.
