Sick.
There's no other way to describe it.
On the Firestarter Podcast last week, Jacob Markstrom promised a big change when it came to his 2021-22 gear setup.
But this?
This is out-of-this-world good.
Check out the new Kipper-inspired lid for Calgary's No. 1 puck-stopper, courtesy of the artist - Jordon Bourgeault (

"As you can see, the overall design is a flaming skull," Bourgeault said in a video on his Instagram page. "I've also got the Calgary Flames logo, and it's completely engulfed in fire, and I've got Markstrom's number - 25 - as if it were carved into the jaw.
"Other cool elements in this design are tributes to past Flames masks. You can see, carved in the skull is Kiprusoff's flaming skull design. You've got Trevor Kidd's fire-breathing dragon, as well as the fire there and on the chin are for Mike Vernon's old mask."
Flames goalies have never been shy to express their creativity.
But Markstrom may have just set a new standard.
