Marjorie Taylor Greene faces another republican challenger

Marjorie Taylor Greene will face another republican primary challenger in next year’s primary elections.

Healthcare CEO Jennifer Strahan announced her intention to run for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. Strahan identifies herself as a small business owner, a Christian, a wife, and a mother to a rambunctious boy.

Strahan joins Republican Mark Clay, who is also challenging Greene for the 14th district seat. Four democrats are also running for the seat in the democratic primary.

“There is too much at stake right now. Democrats in Washington — from Joe Biden to Nancy Pelosi — are infringing on our constitutional liberties, jeopardizing our national security, and threatening our jobs, but the 14th district is left without a real advocate or even a single seat on a congressional committee. We deserve better,” Strahan said in her campaign announcement.

In her announcement, the CEO of  J. Osley & Co vowed to be a serious and sane voice for the people of the Georgia 14th.

“This is not the time for unserious politicians,” she said. The campaign announcement ended with a pledge to “bring sanity back to Washington.”

The primary election will take place on April 25.

About The Georgia 14th: According to the U.S. Census, District 14 is 85.3% white and has a median household income of $42,700. The district has a high school graduation rate of 79.1% and a college graduation rate of 16.6%. The district includes Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Polk, Walker and Whitfield Counties as well as part of Pickens County and Cobb County.
