Field hockey starts season 0-2, still seeking first goal

Posted

(Sep. 16, 2021) The field hockey team is still looking for its first goal of the season. The Whalers lost 2-0 to Falmouth Monday, following a 4-0 loss to Dennis- Yarmouth in their home opener Saturday.

“We don’t want to be the team of very close,” coach Dan Weber said. “We want to get those wins. After a year off, we’re building toward something and I think we’re taking positive steps.”

The Whalers were scheduled to host Nauset yesterday, too late for this edition of Sports.

Coming off the season- opening loss, Weber wanted to see production out of his offense. That meant putting consistent pressure on the ball and finding any way to make the game difficult for the visiting Clippers.
