Free-agent guard Isaiah Thomas is scheduled to work out for the Golden State Warriors next week, according to HoopsHype.

The 32-year-old Thomas is a two-time All-Star, but injuries and ineffective play have limited him to just 87 NBA games over the past four seasons.

Thomas appeared in three games for the New Orleans Pelicans last season, averaging 7.7 points, 1.7 assists and 1.3 rebounds while converting 33.3 percent of his field-goal attempts and 25.0 percent of his threes.

IT spent the first three seasons of his career with the Sacramento Kings and part of 2014-15 with the Phoenix Suns before getting traded to the Boston Celtics.

Thomas enjoyed his greatest success in Boston, averaging 22.2 points, 6.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers made per game en route to his first career All-Star selection in 2015-16.

He was even better the following season, averaging a career-high 28.9 points to go along with 5.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 3.2 three-pointers made per contest. Thomas led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2016-17 and was an All-NBA second-team selection.

A hip injury suffered in the 2017 playoffs changed the path of his career, however, and the Celtics opted to trade him to the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to the 2017-18 season in a deal that netted them Kyrie Irving.

In the four seasons since Thomas got traded from the Celtics, he has played for the Cavs, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Pelicans, appearing in no more than 40 games for any of them.

His averages during that time were 12.6 points, 3.8 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers made per game, and he shot just 38.4 percent from the floor and 34.3 percent from deep.

While the past few seasons have been trying for Thomas, he remains committed to continuing his NBA career.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier this month that Thomas worked out for the Dallas Mavericks along with fellow veterans Monta Ellis and Lance Stephenson.

Thomas also shot down a rumor Wednesday regarding him possibly signing with a team overseas, tweeting: "No sir not me!!! I will not be going overseas. Wrong Isaiah."

Given his career average of 1.9 three-pointers made per game and the fact that he is just two seasons removed from connecting on 41.3 percent of his three-point attempts with the Wizards, Thomas could potentially be a good fit with the Dubs.

There won't be much pressure on him to play big minutes if the Warriors sign him, but he could be an offensive spark plug off the bench.
