Battlefield 2042 open beta has been delayed to October 2021, according to reliable insider Tom Henderson. The open beta was initially scheduled for late September.

Battlefield fans were expecting to play the game next month and the open beta later in September but by the looks of it, none of that will be happening. Yesterday, EA and DICE officially announced that Battlefield 2042 would be delayed to November 19, 2021.

After the news about the delay, many fans wanted to hear more about the confirmed open beta, which was rumoured to be taking place in late September. Sadly, EA and DICE only said they will be talking more about the beta very soon, refusing to mention any specific dates.

However, reliable insider Tom Henderson reveals that the open beta has also been pushed back but not significantly. The beta tests are now scheduled for October 6 (early access) and October 8 for the proper open beta. This is according to Henderson's sources so we suggest you take it with a grain of salt since it's not coming from EA or Dice.

Battlefield 2042 beta tests are expected to include several maps and all specialists as well as Conquest game modes and perhaps a couple of surprises. At this time, the details about the beta are pretty scarce so this is just speculation but we can't help ourselves - we're just too excited to finally try the next Battlefield game.
