The Newcastle United vs Leeds United live stream could be one of the most explosive matches of Premier League 21/22 season so far. Not necessarily because of the quality on the pitch, but rather because the atmosphere at St. James' Park is threatening to boil over. The toxic mood around Tyneside is reaching a critical juncture. Manager Steve Bruce has never been a popular figure with the Geordie faithful but after an awful start to the season that has seen the Magpies claim just a single point from their opening four fixtures, the fanbase is fed up.

Bruce's bizarre post-match comments in the wake of his side's 4-1 defeat to Manchester United haven't helped his cause. A war is brewing between the fanbase and the under-pressure head coach, and another poor result could see the atmosphere turn ugly.

The news that forward Callum Wilson is expected to be out for several more weeks is another killer blow to Newcastle. The entire squad has looked bereft of confidence all season, and without a suitable replacement for Wilson, questions are being asked about where the goals will come from in his absence.

If all that wasn't enough, Newcastle currently have the worst defensive record in the league, having conceded a remarkable 12 goals in just four games. Then again, Leeds United have been experiencing a defensive crisis of their own, shipping 11 league goals to date. It's fair to say that neither of these teams can defend.

Leeds, who looked so promising last season, are suffering from a serious sophomore slump. They are one of only four teams in the EPL who have yet to win a game this season — Newcastle, Burnley and Norwich the others. They've looked a shadow of the side that lit up the league last year.

They'll be further weakened at the back after Pascal Struijk picked up a red card against Liverpool, so will miss this match through suspension. Diego Llorente, who hobbled off last weekend against the Reds, also sits this one out, but there is a place for new signing Daniel James.

Here's how they line up:

Newcastle United: Darlow, Clark, Lascelles, Hayden, Ritchie, Manquillo, Almiron, Willock, Longstaff, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin

Leeds United: Meslier, Dallas, Ayling, Cooper, Firpo, Phillips, Raphinha, Klich, Rodrigo, James, Bamford.

Will either of these teams claim their first victory of the season? You can find out by watching a Newcastle United vs Leeds United live stream — and we'll show you how to do that below.
