Over the last three days, we’ve looked at the fashion, the memes, and the beauty from the Met Gala 2021, but there’s still one major Timothée Chalamet and Keke Palmer moment we need to discuss.

As you might already know, Keke hosted Vogue’s Met Gala 2021 red carpet live stream alongside Ilana Glazer. When it came time to interview Timmy, one of this year’s co-chairs, atop the iconic Met stairs, the duo had a more than memorable interaction — at least for us over at Teen Vogue and the people on Twitter. As soon as Keke asked Timothée a question, the Dune star did not hesitate to completely change topics and reminisce about their past together – with a little help from Teen Vogue, of course. (You're welcome, guys.)

“Timothée, how are you? I’ve heard your preparation for today was quite a production. Tell me a little bit about it,” Keke, aka the greatest host in history asked. “Yeah, we did a bit of a…” Tim starts, before getting completely sidetracked. “You know we met when we were 17, right?” It takes Keke a second but she then quickly remembers that they were both part of Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood class of 2014, for which they did a photoshoot with British photographer Josh Olins.

The cute interaction has since become one of the night’s most viral moments (after Kim Kardashian’s “dementor” ‘fit, of course) and some fans have even combed through the Teen Vogue archives to find photographic evidence — with success. Fun fact: Nicola Peltz and Maisie Williams were coincidentally also in attendance at the Met Gala this year and were also part of the same shoot Timmy so vividly remembers. Now we can only wonder whether he approached them about it too?

Either way, Keke and Timothée, you're more than welcome to reprise your meet-cute at next year's Young Hollywood event. ;)
