VIDEO: Pot-smoking man with knife spits on dad, 4-year-old daughter in subway: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A knife-wielding subway rider spat on and threatened a father and his 4-year-old daughter after the dad asked him to stop smoking pot on a subway train in the Bronx, police said Thursday.

The 35-year-old dad and daughter were riding a southbound D train near Fordham Road station in Fordham Heights at 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 5 when another rider lit up marijuana on the train, according to police.

The dad asked the man to stop smoking, and the man grew angry, yelling at the father and daughter, police said and video shows.

The man then spat on both of them before taking out a knife and threatening them with it, according to police.

The father and daughter got off of the train at the Fordham Road station, while the man remained on board, police said.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

The NYPD released video of part of the altercation as they search for a suspect.
