Watch: Falcons QB Matt Ryan mic’d up in Week 1

When it comes to being a football fan, nothing is worse than waiting all offseason for a fresh start and then getting blown out in Week 1. On Sunday, Falcons fans had to suffer through another deflating loss on opening day in which the team showed very little promise to kick off the Arthur Smith era.

Even for those who were rightfully skeptical coming into the year, nobody wants another season where Atlanta is merely a punchline around the NFL by Week 4.

Quarterback Matt Ryan was wired for sound during the Falcons’ 32-6 loss to the Eagles in Week 1, and despite the ugly outcome, it’s still worth a watch to see Ryan interact with his new teammates and coaching staff.

Ryan had a tough game against the Eagles. He completed 21 of 35 throws for 164 yards and a passer rating of 71.6. The former MVP QB will look to rebound against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. The Falcons are currently 12.5-point underdogs for Sunday’s game.
