Authorities identified 47-year-old Adrian Van Wyck who died after an auto-pedestrian crash in Everett (Everett, WA)

Authorities identified 47-year-old Adrian Van Wyck as the man who lost his life after being struck by a car on Evergreen Way earlier this month.

The investigation reports showed that Adrian Van Wyck, 47, a resident of Everett, was walking at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 near the 8500 block of Evergreen Way when a car struck him. Repots further revealed that the Everett man was jay-walking across Evergreen Way west-to-east. Two cars slowed to a stop to wait for the man. A third driver — in a Jeep — was northbound on the far-right side of the road when he struck Van Wyck as he did not see the pedestrian.

On arrival, paramedics rushed Van Wyck to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sept. 11. He died of blunt-force injuries, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Tuesday afternoon. His death was ruled as an accident. The driver of the Jeep did not seem to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. The investigation has been completed and no arrests were made.
