Recruiting

Wesley Bissainthe, a 4-star linebacker prospect from Miami, Florida, and one of the top targets this cycle for Florida State Seminoles football, included Florida State in his final five schools, along with the Florida Gators, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, Penn State Nittany Lions, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

Football

Mike Norvell, McKenzie Milton and Jarvis Brownlee all spoke with the media yesterday as the Seminoles look to avoid starting 0-3 for the first time since 1976.

The line in the FSU vs. Wake Forest game has moved, with the Demon Deacons now a consensus five-point favorite.

Soccer

Nobody covers FSU women’s sports like our own Prince Akeem Joeffer — and he’s got the goods with a breakdown of how soccer has gone so far for the Seminoles (as well as some softball fast facts.)

Basketball

Florida State Women’s Basketball’s 2021-22 ACC schedule was released yesterday — see the full slate here.

All Sports

Florida State volleyball, on a night honoring the life of former player Brianna Barry, upset No. 14 Florida last night.

From FSU Sports Info:

The Florida State cross country and track and field programs welcomed two new assistant coaches and elevated Alex Midgett last week.

Midgett was promoted to the women’s assistant cross country and distance coach after serving as the operations assistant. She will work with head coach Bob Braman, who will be the head coach for both men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs.

Doug Reynolds comes to Tallahassee with a wealth of coaching experience and will be the assistant throws coach, while 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Leevan Sands will serve as the assistant jumps coach.
