Lane County considers increasing security at Covid-19 booster clinics

EUGENE, Ore. —
Lane County says they're still waiting on guidance regarding booster clinics for Covid-19 vaccines.

But they are considering a boost in security for those clinics.
Lane County Public Health says some recent clinics have seen people coming up to vaccination staff and getting into arguments or physical fights.
They also anticipate booster clinics being smaller in size than the original mass vaccination clinics we saw in the spring.

Public Health says they anticipate new guidance for booster shot eligibility to come out at the end of the week.
