Suarez pitched six innings while allowing two runs on six hits and a walk, striking out eight in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.

The 26-year-old gave up a two-run home run to Frank Schwindel in the fifth inning, accounting for all the damage against him in this one. The eight strikeouts marked a season high, and since becoming a part of the starting rotation on Aug. 2, Suarez has a 1.86 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 43.2 innings over nine starts.
