Management & Accountancy, Engineering, and Computer Science Programs Recognized in Annual U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges

UNC Asheville has once again earned a distinguished top 10 ranking among Public Liberal Arts Colleges in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges. UNC Asheville is No. 9 in the 2022 edition of the publication and ranked 146 among National Liberal Arts Colleges, public and private.

In addition, UNC Asheville received high marks in the relatively new social mobility category, ranking 54th among National Liberal Arts Colleges. The social mobility ranking measures how well schools graduated students who received federal Pell Grants. UNC Asheville has made this list for all three years since it was added.

UNC’s designated liberal arts and sciences campus received additional recognition on the U.S. News’ lists of Undergraduate Business Programs (Management and Accountancy), Undergraduate Engineering Programs, and Undergraduate Computer Science Programs.

The U.S. News ranking follows recently assigned accolades from The Princeton Review, in recognition of UNC Asheville’s location as a Great College City and Great Town-Gown Relations, as well as annual awards from Niche for location, liberal arts, and on-campus housing. UNC Asheville has been named a College of Distinction among public colleges nationally and within all colleges in North Carolina in 2021 and was named a Fiske Best Buy earlier this year.
