For Joe’s family and friends in Louisiana, a memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday; September, 19, 2021 at Cross Creek Cowboy Church (21160 Plank Road; Zachary, LA) with Bro. Joe was born on December 7, 1952, in Batesville, MS to Joe Warren Lamb, Sr. and Imogene (Johnston) Lamb. He graduated from Glen Oaks High School; being a life-long LSU Tiger fan, he attended LSU and graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in dairy science. After graduation, he managed the dairy and the laboratory at Louisiana Tech and it was during this time that he met and married his wife, Karen. They eventually moved to Baton Rouge where he was the marketing director for Louisiana Animal Breeders Co-Op, and upon his retirement, he worked for NCH Corporation, which he dearly loved.

Joe was truly a people person who never met a stranger. Together with his wife; they raised cattle and goats, camped and waterskied. He had a passion for his family, his customers, his livestock and, most importantly, his God. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Robert Havard; and his sister-in-law, Ann (Bailey) Havard. Joe is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Karen (Havard) Lamb, Jr.; his children, Katie White and Kyle Lamb (Erica); his grandchildren, Abagail White, William White, and Daniel Lamb; his brother, Steve Lamb (Barbara); his brother-in-law, Paul Havard; and his “other” mother, Nadine Havard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Joe’s memory to Samaritan’s Purse (P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607).
