The missing person case of 22-year-old Gabby Petito has captivated the attention of the entire nation. In early July, a young couple set out on a road trip through Kansas, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. A little over a month later Gabby was officially reported missing.

According to Petito's mother, Nicole Schmidt, Gabby was last heard from on August 25th. Gabby was informing her mother that they were on their way to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Schmidt reportedly received a text from Gabby's phone on August 30th saying that there was no service in Yellowstone, but she does not believe that message was sent by her daughter. Her lost social media post was at a business in Ogden, Utah.

The most curious part of the case is that Gabby's boyfriend, Brian Laundrie drove back to the Florida Gulf Coast on September 1st in the same white Ford van the couple was touring the country with and immediately obtained an attorney. Laundrie has not been cooperating with authorities according to the North Port Police Department. On Wednesday, he was officially named a person of interest in the investigation.

Gabby and Brian documented their van life travels on YouTube. The comment section on their video posted from 3 weeks ago is now flooded with viewers wanting answers. According to Gabby's mother and stepfather, there "weren't any red flags" with Brian. Gabby's stepfather made the statement to Fox News, "This is supposed to be the love of your life, and you definitely left her in late August and were home safe on September 1st without her. Why aren’t you telling us anything?"
