CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run to a parked vehicle in the 1000 block of Caveness Drive was reported at approximately 9 a.m. on Sept. 13.

 

Theft

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 13.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of North Diamond Street just before 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 13.

• Personal property was reported stolen out of a residence in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 2 p.m. on Sept. 13.

• A subject was cited for third-degree theft in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 12:50 p.m. on Sept. 14.

 

Vehicle Prowls

• Just after 7 a.m. on Sept. 14, property was reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 1100 block of J Street. The incident is under investigation.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 200 block of North Diamond Street just after 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.

• At 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 14, a vehicle’s window was reported broken in the 2800 block of Mount Vista Road. Property was potentially stolen out of the vehicle.

 

Assault

• An assault reported at a mental health facility in the 3500 block of Steel Hammer Drive just before 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 13 is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• At 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 14, a driver reported their car window was damaged by “unknown means” while they were driving through the intersection of South Pearl and West Main streets.

 

Scam

• Just before 4 p.m. on Sept. 14, a victim reported being scammed out of money through an OfferUp ad. The case is under investigation.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crashes

• A collision with injuries reported in the 200 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 13 is under investigation. Law enforcement provided no additional information.

• A young child suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision reported at the intersection of Northeast Median Street and Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 14.

 

Theft

• At approximately 3:05 p.m. on Sept. 13, an attempted theft was reported at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made and the subject was trespassed from the business.



• At 2:50 p.m. on Sept. 14, a caller reported their child had thrown their wallet on the ground in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and when the wallet was returned, $200 was missing.

• Shoplifting was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 14.

 

Assault

• A fourth-degree assault reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 13 is under investigation.

 

Under Investigation 

• A “neighborhood dispute” was reported in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard just after 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 is under investigation.

• A case reported in the 1200 block of Bishop Road just before 5 p.m. on Sept. 14 is under investigation.

• A dispute reported in the 1100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue at 1:05 a.m. on Sept. 15 is under investigation.

 

MORTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

Morton Incidents

• An officer was dispatched to the Bucksnort Pub just after 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 4 regarding a dispute. The officer contacted all parties involved and they denied aid. Those involved also stated they did not want to pursue charges.

• An officer was dispatched to the area of Seventh Street and West Main Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 regarding a disorderly individual. The investigation is ongoing.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Division Avenue regarding a family dispute just after 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 6. A subject was arrested and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence.

• An officer was dispatched to the Morton Country Market just after 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 7 regarding an assault in progress. The responding officer determined the argument was mutual between the two parties and both parties declined to pursue criminal charges. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the Chevron Gas Plus just after 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 7 regarding a theft. No charges were filed and an informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to assist the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office with an assault report in Packwood just after 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 7.

• An officer was dispatched to the Key Bank just after 9:50 a.m. on Sept. 9 regarding a harassment complaint. The subject was trespassed from the property.

• An officer was dispatched to an accident at the Morton Country Market just after 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Division Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 11 regarding a harassment complaint. An informational report was taken.

 

Mossyrock Incidents

• An officer was requested to assist the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office regarding a dispute at the 100 block of Bowen Road just after 10:10 p.m. on Sept. 9.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 126 inmates, including 116 in the general population and 10 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 98 were reported male and 18 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
