Reagan Hicks, Barnstable 

Hicks scored 4 goals for the Red Hawks as they beat Martha's Vineyard 2-1 in field hockey action on Wednesday in Hyannis.

Valerie McDowell added a goal and an assist and Penny Baroni and Giana Mullins each scored a goal for Barnstable (2-1). Grace Bunnell and Grace Holden combined for the shutout in net, with defensive support from Sophia Simonelli, Ella Salas and Delaney Cronan. 

Avery Johnson, Falmouth

Johnson scored both goals for the Clippers as they beat the Notre Dame Academy (Hingham) Cougars 2-1 and remained unbeaten. Katie Shanahan and Colleen Caswell each had an assist, Kyleigh Waggett had four saves, Natalie Bosselman played well at left midfield and Eliza Roman played well defensively for Falmouth (3-0).

BOYS SOCCER

Shane Murray, Bourne 

Murray had 6 saves in goal for the Canalmen, but the Case Cardinals won 1-0. Shea Ullo had 3 shots on target and 5 corners and Zack Dodge played well for Bourne (1-1).

Nick Almeida, Mashpee

Almeida scored 2 goals and added 2 assists for the Blue Knights as they beat the Hull Pirates 7-3. Peter DeFrancesco finished with 2 goals and an assist, Lucas D. had a goal and dished out 2 assists, Otis Longman and Ryan Lima each scored a goal for Mashpee (2-1).

GIRLS SOCCER

Emma Correira, Bourne 

Correira finished with a hat trick for the Canalmen in a 3-2 win over the Case Cardinals. Zoe Ridl, Sydney Fitzpatrick and Sophia Smalley each had an assist and Emma Bourgault ended with 4 saves in goal for Bourne (2-1).

Samantha Kersey, Mashpee

Kersey scored 4 goals for the Falcons as they beat the Hull Pirates 7-2 to remain unbeaten. Callia Eaton, Ava Desimone and Anna Carroll each scored a goal, Jayden Bryant finished with 9 saves and Stella Stecei, Catie O'Neill and Sam Morry played well for Mashpee (2-0).

BOYS GOLF

Jack Carstensen, JPII

Jack Carstensen shot a 38 and won 4 and 2 for the Lions as they beat the Sturgis East Storm 5-1 for their 5th consecutive win in Cape & Islands League Lighthouse action at Wianno Club. Tim Adams shot a 39, Matt Curley won 1-up, Sam Scioletti won 2-up and Chuck Baroni won 4 and 3 for JPII (5-1).

Robbie Penswick, Sturgis East 

Robbie Penswick scored the lone point as he won 3 and 2 for Sturgis East (1-3). 

Richie Combra and Jake Glasgow, Martha's Vineyard 

Combra and Glasgow each scored 22 points for the Vineyarders as they beat the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins 115-71 at Dennis Pines to remain unbeaten. Ryan Harding, Jacob Silva and Luke Silva each scored 19 and Nick Ben David 14 finished with 14 for Martha's Vineyard (4-0).

Daniel Julian, D-Y

Julian scored 22 points, Cam Dupee had 16, John Stone ended with 14, Alex Ferreira ended with 9, Brodie Boulette had 6 and Adam Ruder finished with 4 for D-Y (0-2).

Emma Abramson, Sandwich 

Emma Abramson scored 30 points for the Blue Knights but the Bishop Stang Spartans won 167-143 at Country Club of New Bedford.

James Murray scored 24, Tyler Pino had 21, Dylan McCabe ended with 20, Adam Schwagger finished with 17, Thomas Hurley scored 16 and Mitch Norkavicious ended with 15 for Sandwich (5-2). 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Allison Sciaraffa, Upper Cape 

Sciaraffa led the Rams with 16 service points, 8 aces and 13 kills as they beat the Avon Panthers 3-2, 24-26, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 15-12 for their first win of the season. Faith Kalkanis finished with 15 service points, 10 aces and 5 kills and Glenn Barrows had 13 service points and 7 aces for Upper Cape (1-1). 

Lindsay Jones and Allison Nystrom, Barnstable 

Jones and Nystrom each finished with 15 kills for the Red Hawks, but the Hopkinton Hillers won 3-2, 25-8, 16-25, 25-15, 23-25, 16-14. Neely Alger had 10 kills, Laura Cogswell dished out 45 assists and Dierdre Mullin ended with 17 service points for Barnstable (2-2).
