Considering that Real Betis are the Green-and-White side of Spain, it should come as no surprise that there are similarities between their home kit with that of Celtic.

But interestingly, none of the three kits that Celtic are wearing this season are compatible with Real Betis’ home kit. And as a result, there appears to be a different kind of solution for when the two clubs meet in Seville for their Europa League group stage opening game.

As tweeted out by journalist Andres Ocana, Real Betis will play the game in their second blue kit despite being the home team while Celtic will wear their third kit.

As a result, it looks like we will get to see neither team wear their famous Green-and-White kit when they face each other in Seville.

Celtic will face a difficult task against Real Betis

Celtic are in one of the toughest groups in the Europa League this season and have been placed with Real Betis, Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros.

The away game in Seville was always going to be difficult but it has been made even more difficult due to the Hoops’ recent injury worries. Ange Postecoglou’s side will be without a number of their first-team players for the game and the starting XI is not expected to be anywhere near their strongest.

On the other hand, Real Betis will be coming into the game with a lot of confidence, having gotten their first win of the season against Granada on Monday.

Whatever may be the case, this promises to be a very exciting and interesting game. The history between both Celtic and Real Betis is well known. And both these sides are known for playing their possession-based style of football at the moment.

Thus, it will be interesting to see which team comes out on top when they meet although heading into this game, Real Betis will have a clear advantage over Celtic.
