Christian Cage: Adam Cole's Friends Used Their EVP Status To Save Him From Developmental

Prior to this January, the idea of Christian Cage getting into a wrestling ring seemed like an impossibility. Despite this, Christian took a chance on his career and joined AEW in March at the Revolution pay-per-view.

Christian would reach the Apex of his return during All Out when he faced Kenny Omega in the main event of the pay-per-view. However, when the show was over, nobody was talking about his match. That is because Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson made their debuts, Adam defecting from n x t where he was just in the main event two weeks prior.

Since his debut, Adam Cole has been the ire of not only Christian Cage’s but Christian’s newfound friends in Jurassic Express. Adam Cole would make a challenge to Christian Cage for a six-man tag team match at AEW Rampage: Grand Slam, a two-hour episode of the Friday night series which will take place from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens.

Adam Cole declared that he and the Young Bucks would gladly face Christian Cage and Jurassic Express. When responding to this challenge Christian Cage would throw some jabs at Adam Cole saying that he's lucky to have friends that will “ throw him a lifeline and save him from developmental.” Christian would also joke that Adam is already used to losing Wednesday Night Wars so he better be ready to add Friday to that list.
