Reba McEntire rescued from historical building in Oklahoma after staircase collapses

REBA McEntire had to be rescued from a historical building in Oklahoma when the staircase collapsed during a tour.

The country singer revealed the news in a tweet confirming that she was safe after the scary incident.

The tweet read: "While my team and I were in Atoka, OK yesterday checking out an old historical building, a staircase collapsed. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.

She continued: "We were safely evacuated from the building thanks to the quick response from the Atoka fire and police departments."

Fans immediately commented their support for the star with one writing: "Um, 2021, you are NOT ALLOWED to take Reba McEntire. Stop playin' with us!!"

Another one replied: "You're a survivor."

While another added: "Thank you God for protecting our Queen & everyone else around her. Very thankful no one was seriously injured."

REBA'S NEW MAN

The Survivor singer, announced last year that she is in a new relationship during an episode of her podcast Living & Learning With Reba McEntire.

Reba told co-host Melissa Peterman: "Yeah, yeah, I am [dating].

"A very, very sweetheart of a guy, Rex Linn. And we’ve been talking during the pandemic."

The 65-year-old said: "We had dinner with Rex, was it in January?

"And then February on it was the COVID pandemic and we were talking, texting, FaceTime. And that’s a really good way to get to know people.”

She continued: “It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress.”

'I'M VERY INTO HIS CAREER'

The singer added of her new love: “And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career.

“It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart, and is interested in me, too."

Back in January 2020, the 63-year-old actor teased a potential relationship when he shared a snap of the pair cuddling close at dinner.

He captioned the shot: “Had a fantastic dinner with this Oklahoma girl. Tater Tots and Ketchup included.”

Reba was previously married to Narvel Blackstock from 1989-2015.

They share a son, Shelby Blackstock, while the singer also became the stepmother to Narvel’s kids Chassidy, Shawna and Brandon.
